Topaz earned her Dock Senior title in July '18 in OKC. With each jump she improved until she was jumping 18 feet!
Topaz completed her CH title in Des Moines, IA taking a 5 pt major over a special to finish from the Bred-by class!! Finished with 3 majors!
Topaz earned her 11th point at the Dallas dog show in July! She went Best of Winner's/Winner's Bitch 2 of the 3 days and Winner's Bitch for one show leaving her with only 4 points to go!
Topaz now has her 2nd CH major!!! Wichita, KS show in April 2017 from the Bred-by Exhibitor class.
Topaz has 2 AKC Junior Hunter passes April, 2016 and we hope she will complete it later this summer 2017 or spring 2018. She has amazing drive, birdy, and great marking ability.
Topaz has earned her first 3 point major towards her championship title by going Best of Opposite / Winners Bitch at the Dallas dog show Dec. 5th, 2015 from the Bred-by class.
Topaz was the puppy we kept from Sapphire's first litter. She is a dark deadgrass and a lot in personality like her mom. She loves to "rooooo" and she sometimes will give a chessie smile. She has only had a limited number of chances to go duck hunting so far.
When she was 4 months old we happened upon a pond where there were ducks dead and frozen that previous hunters left behind (which disgusted us and the game warden was alerted!). It took very little coaxing for her to retrieve all 4 ducks that were left there.
This year she has only been out a few times. She had never been in a boat before and when it was time for her to jump in the lake to go after a duck, she did not even hesitate to jump in and brought that duck all the way back. Since she was inside a blind and sometimes could not see where the bird landed, you could send her out and watch her nose go to work to find the birds.
